Basic Configuration
- Set instrument type – function key – Instrument – Select “Use GS only” – finish with OK.
- Set Working Style – choosing “RTK Rover”
- Pair GS18 Antenna – GS Connection wizard
- Make sure SIM and 4G Arial are fitted in/to GS18
- Set OSGB36(15) coordinate system in a test or default job
RTK Setup
1. Configure RTK – via RTK Rover Wizard – Choosing “Create a new profile”
- Name – PP RTK
- Description – SIM IN GS18
2. What type of Connection do you want to use?
- Choose – Internet (eg NTRIP)
3. Which port is the RTK device connected to?
- Choose – GS modem
- (Note: Defined by the SIM- If Sim is in Controller choose CS modem)
4. Which RTK device is being used
- Name of the device – Cinterion PLS8
- Preferred network type – Automatic
5. Enter the PIN & PUK code of the SIM card
- No need to edit this page
6. Enter the APN for your Internet connection
- APN: simpoint.m2m
- (no need to tick Use user ID and password)
7. The unit will then connect to the internet
8. An RTK server is required
- Choose – Create a new server
9. Enter new server details
- Service Name- RTK premium
- Address- rtkpremium.com
- Port- 2131
- User- NTRIP with this server- With user account
- NTRIP user ID- YourDetails
- NTRIP Password- YourDetails
10. A mount point is required
- Choose – Select mount point from source table
- Choose Mountpoint – PRSRTCM3 (G2), PRSRTCM3_G4 (G4)
11. Enter the RTK network Details
- Receive the RTK corrections from RTK – ticked
- Network type – VRS
- Send GGA Message – ticked
- Send user ID – unticked
12. Enter the RTK connection details
- RTK data format – RTCM v3
- Sensor at base – Auto-detect
- Antenna at base – Auto-detect
- RTK base has a unique ID – unticked
- Use auto coordinate system- unticked
- Receive RTK network information – ticked
- Behaviour – Show and log
13. The wizard is complete. Would you like to test your connection?
