Coordinates and heights
RTK Premium delivers ETRS89 (ETRF2000, epoch 2010.0), with ellipsoidal heights. Official German coordinates are ETRS89 too, so apply the projection and the height conversion in your controller or office software: ETRS89/UTM in zone 32 for most of Germany and zone 33 in the east, and DHHN2016 heights through the German Combined Quasigeoid GCG2016. Older Gauss-Krüger data on DHDN needs a grid transformation such as BeTA2007. The state survey offices use the realisation ETRS89/DREF91 (Realisierung 2016), which can differ by a few centimetres, so for cadastral and control work check against state control points.

Federal roads: Germany's Autobahn network runs to 13,259 km and its federal roads to 37,654 km, as of 1 January 2026. Widening, resurfacing and bridge renewal on that network are staked and checked against design. (Fernstraßen-Bundesamt, 2026)
Construction: Turnover in the German main construction trade reached a record EUR 114.8 billion in 2024, across firms with 20 or more employees. Setting-out, machine control and as-built checks on those sites run on centimetre positioning. (Destatis, 2024)
Rail: The public German rail network was about 39,000 km long in 2023. Track surveys, clearance checks and renewals are measured against design to the centimetre. (Bundesnetzagentur, 2023)
