RTK Premium delivers network RTK corrections in Switzerland in ETRS89 (ETRF2000, epoch 2010.0) over standard NTRIP. In a fixed solution it reaches under 1.5 cm horizontally and 2.5 cm vertically. The coverage map shows networks over the whole of Switzerland by area. A 14-day free trial comes first.

More than 100 step-by-step guides cover receivers, controllers, drones and machine control.
RTKTEST.com compares up to three correction services against a surveyed point in one 15-minute session, and the 14-day trial runs on your own receiver at your own sites.
Swiss crews choose between the federal positioning service, commercial network RTK, crowd-sourced base stations, satellite-delivered corrections and their own base.
| Type | Typical operator | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Federal positioning service | The federal mapping agency, charging per minute of use or for an annual licence. | Coverage near your sites, whether an availability commitment is published, and support hours. |
| Commercial network RTK | A private provider with stations across Switzerland and beyond. | How many correction sources serve your area, the published service level and its remedy, the term, and whether a trial is offered. |
| Crowd-sourced network | Independent owners hosting single base stations. | Distance to the nearest base, station uptime, and how each base was surveyed. |
| Satellite or state-space (PPP-RTK, SSR) | A provider broadcasting an error model without a local base. | Convergence time, accuracy and vertical performance. |
| Your own base | Your crew, on a surveyed point. | The survey of the base point, range, and the time spent setting it up and guarding it. |
RTK Premium delivers ETRS89 (ETRF2000, epoch 2010.0), with ellipsoidal heights. The Swiss reference system CHTRS95 is tied closely to ETRS89, and LV95 has been the official frame for surveying since 2017, so apply the LV95 projection in your controller or office software. Older LV03 data needs the federal mapping agency's distortion model (CHENyx06) rather than a seven-parameter transformation. Convert ellipsoidal heights to LHN95 orthometric heights with the CHGeo2004 geoid, and to LN02, still the official height frame, with the HTRANS grids. The federal REFRAME software handles all of these transformations. Check against a national control point before cadastral or control work.
Farms: Switzerland had 46,270 farms in 2025, 1.7% fewer than a year earlier. Drilling, spraying and guidance on those farms run on centimetre corrections. (Swiss Federal Statistical Office, 2025)
National roads: Switzerland's national roads were 2,259 km long in 2025, 1,549 km of them motorway. Widening, tunnel refurbishment and resurfacing on that network are staked and checked against design. (Swiss Federal Statistical Office, 2025)
Rail: The Swiss rail network was 5,443 km long in 2020, with 1,772 stops. Track renewals, platform extensions and clearance checks are measured against design to the centimetre. (Swiss Federal Statistical Office, 2020)
Hydropower: Switzerland generated about 62,300 gigawatt hours of electricity in 2025, net of pumped storage, and hydropower plants supplied 52% of it. Dam monitoring, intake works and transmission routes rely on precise positions and heights. (Swiss Federal Statistical Office, 2025)
Tunnels: At 57 km, the Gotthard Base Tunnel is the world's longest rail tunnel. Portals and approach lines for tunnels like it are set out from surveyed control. (Swiss Federal Office of Transport, accessed Nov 2026)
RTK Premium serves Switzerland with network RTK in ETRS89, and the coverage map shows the networks at any site.
The federal positioning service charges per minute of use or for an annual licence. Community networks host free single base stations of varying quality, so check what each source commits to on availability and support.
Use ETRS89, then project to LV95 and convert to LHN95 heights with the CHGeo2004 geoid, or to LN02 heights with the HTRANS grids.
LN02 is still Switzerland's official height frame, and LHN95 is the rigorous orthometric frame of the national survey. Convert ellipsoidal heights to LHN95 with the CHGeo2004 geoid, then to LN02 with the HTRANS grids, or let REFRAME do both steps.
Prices depend on the number of devices, the term and the product, and we quote them after a short call. The 14-day trial needs no payment.
