RTK Premium delivers network RTK corrections across mainland Spain in ETRS89 (ETRF2000, epoch 2010.0) over standard NTRIP. In a fixed solution it reaches under 1.5 cm horizontally and 2.5 cm vertically. 2+ networks serve the mainland, so smart failover takes over when a network drops, and the 99.9% monthly service level applies in the Eligible Area the coverage map shows. The Balearic Islands have 1 network, and the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla have no RTK Premium network today. One account works in every autonomous community on the mainland, and a 14-day free trial comes first.

RTKTEST.com compares up to three correction services against a surveyed point in one 15-minute session, and the 14-day trial runs on your own receiver at your own sites.
Spanish crews choose between the public networks of the autonomous communities, commercial network RTK, crowd-sourced base stations, satellite-delivered corrections and their own base.
| Type | Typical operator | What to check |
|---|---|---|
| Public regional network | An autonomous community or the national mapping agency, often free to registered users. | Coverage across every region you work in, whether one account works across regions, whether an availability commitment is published, and support hours. |
| Commercial network RTK | A private provider with stations across Spain and beyond. | How many correction sources serve your area, the published service level and its remedy, the term, and whether a trial is offered. |
| Crowd-sourced network | Independent owners hosting single base stations. | Distance to the nearest base, station uptime, and how each base was surveyed. |
| Satellite or state-space (PPP-RTK, SSR) | A provider broadcasting an error model without a local base. | Convergence time, accuracy and vertical performance. |
| Your own base | Your crew, on a surveyed point. | The survey of the base point, range, and the time spent setting it up and guarding it. |
RTK Premium delivers ETRS89 (ETRF2000, epoch 2010.0), with ellipsoidal heights. ETRS89 is the official system on the mainland and the Balearic Islands, so apply the projection and the height conversion in your controller or office software: ETRS89/UTM in zone 30 for most of the mainland, zone 29 in the west and zone 31 in the east and on the Balearic Islands, and orthometric heights referred to mean sea level at Alicante through the geoid model published by the national mapping agency. Older ED50 data needs the national grid transformation rather than a seven-parameter transformation. The Canary Islands use their own frame, REGCAN95.
Farmland: Spain had 23.5 million hectares of utilised agricultural area in 2023, 15.0% of the EU total and second only to France. Drilling, spraying and controlled traffic on that land need a correction that holds pass after pass. (Eurostat, 2023)
Irrigation: Spain had 3.5 million hectares of irrigable land in 2023 and irrigated 2.7 million of them, 78% of its capacity. Land levelling and the layout of drip lines and pivots depend on precise heights. (Eurostat, 2023)
High-speed rail: Spain's high-speed rail network grew from 1,244 km in 2008 to 3,192 km in 2024, 37.3% of the EU's high-speed network. Track surveys, clearance checks and new lines are measured against design to the centimetre. (Eurostat, 2024)
Ports: Spain's state-owned ports handled 556.5 million tonnes in 2025 on provisional figures, and general cargo reached a record 278.8 million tonnes. Quay works, dredging and terminal layout are set out from surveyed control. (Puertos del Estado, 2025)
RTK Premium covers mainland Spain with 2+ networks, one account in every autonomous community and a 99.9% monthly service level in the Eligible Area. The Balearic Islands have 1 network, and the Canary Islands, Ceuta and Melilla have no RTK Premium network today.
Many autonomous communities run a public network that is free to registered users, and community networks host free single base stations of varying quality. Coverage, terms and support differ from region to region, so check each one against your sites.
Use ETRS89 on the mainland and the Balearic Islands, then convert to ETRS89/UTM for plane coordinates and to orthometric heights with the national geoid model.
With RTK Premium you can: the same credentials, caster and mountpoint work across mainland Spain. With a public regional network, check whether its account covers the other regions you work in.
Prices depend on the number of devices, the term and the product, and we quote them after a short call. The 14-day trial needs no payment.
No. Network RTK builds the correction for your position from the surrounding stations, so there is no base to set up, survey or guard.
Yes. The trial runs for 14 days on your own receiver, with full access to the RTK Premium network.
