Coordinates and heights
RTK Premium delivers ETRS89 (ETRF2000, epoch 2010.0), with ellipsoidal heights. The official Italian frame, RDN2008, is ETRF2000 at epoch 2008.0, so apply the projection and the height conversion in your controller or office software: UTM on RDN2008 in zone 32 in the west and zone 33 in the east, with the far south-east of Puglia in zone 34, and national orthometric heights, which have separate origins for the mainland, Sicily and Sardinia, through the geoid grids published by the national military geographic institute. Older Roma 40 (Gauss-Boaga) or ED50 data needs the national grid transformation rather than a seven-parameter transformation. The two epochs can show a small offset, so measure a known control point before relying on the results.
